THESE TREES REALLY WERE PAINTED BLUE!!! Konstantin Dimopoulos, an Australian artist, brought "The Blue Tree Project" to New Mexico, through the assistance of Tree New Mexico. Trees trunks and limbs are coated with a water based pigment (non-toxic, safe for plants, animals, and insects) to bring awareness to trees in our urban environment and the effects of global deforestation. The end result is beautifully surreal. These trees were on the 4th street pedestrian walkway in downtown Albuquerque, which has since been demolished...
